Apostle Dexter K. Ball

Dr. Dexter K. Ball is Apostle and Sr. Pastor of Faithwalk Harvest Center in Carpentersville, Illinois. Dr. Ball has been a devoted man of God serving in the Gospel ministry for more than 20 years. Dr. Ball is steadfast in his mission to Reconcile, Revive, and Restore the lives of God’s people through the outpour of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. He is dedicated to making a change in the community by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Ball and his wife had an apostolic vision to begin a ministry and they held their first worship service in November of 2003 with only 5 people in attendance in the Community Room at Elgin Financial Savings Bank in Carpentersville. Within the first year, the ministry grew in attendance with now several hundred members at Faithwalk Harvest Center. The congregation is at a steady growth as confirmation that the apostolic anointing and the spreading of God’s Word is Dr. Ball’s vocation. He is a man that doesn’t wait for the people to come to hear the Word of God, he reaches out by sometimes personally picking up the members in the church bus or van and brings them to hear God’s Word.

A native of Evanston, Illinois, Dr. Ball is ordained and a member of Cross-Net International Ministries in West Chicago, Illinois. Through Cross-Net, he was ordained as an Apostle. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Judson University in Elgin, Illinois. He has a Master’s degree and Doctor of Ministry degree in Theology from Life Christian University. Dr. Ball is known for the God kind of Love. This is the philosophy he weaves throughout the fabric of his ministry. He is valued for his real-life teaching of the Bible and the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit through apostolic and prophetic promptings. Dr. Ball resides in Carpentersville, Illinois with his wife Shaunna.

Over the years, he has served as a dedicated Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent and Served as a Youth Pastor. In July of 2011, Dr. Ball and Pastor Shaunna established Faithwalk Bible Institute, an extension campus of Life Christian University, where he serves as Host Pastor and Faculty Director. He is an author, publisher and international traveler spreading the Gospel around the globe.

Some of his accomplishments include: United States Achievement Award, National Minority Leader, Unsung Hero Award. He proudly holds a position as a Mentor in the Lincoln’s Challenge Academy Program. He serves as a Police and Fire Chaplain for Carpentersville and the Dundee Township area. Dr. Ball established and organized the Carpentersville Clergy Commission. He has also established the Fox View Community Awareness Group and has partnered with the Village of Carpentersville, Project Hope and the Northern Illinois Food Bank to host food pantry trucks in Carpentersville where hundreds of people are served monthly. He serves on the Board of Directors of Shop With A Cop (SWAC) and Administer Justice and is a part of the Pastor’s Council for Fox Valley Christian Action. Dr. Ball serves in the Carpentersville Community Coalition Cares (C4) organization and volunteers in other non-for-profit organizations dedicated to reaching at risk youth, developing and training men and women for ministry and many other efforts geared at drawing people closer to God.
