August Word of the Month:

“Your Big Three!”

II Timothy 1:7, NKJV (emphasis added)
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

I.  Your Big Three begins with power. The Greek word is dunamis and it is the
first part of God’s deposit inside of you. You access it through Holy Spirit.
What this word means is that you have:
A. Supernatural strength
B. Explosive ability
C. Convincing force
D. A miraculous anointing

II.  The second deposit is the greatest working force in all the earth – love. The
familiar Greek word is agapé. The same love that the Father showed his Son
is the same love at work on the inside of you. This love is:

A. Divine and not understood by human nature (It does not always make
human sense).

B. It is freely given by God therefore, we are to freely share it with others.
C. It is not based on what we have done or what we can ever do. It is
simply God’s divine expression to mankind of who He is.
D. Only expressed through the Spirit of God and reveals His character to
the world through us that walk in this kind of love.

III.  The third deposit you have is a sound mind. This phrase in Greek is
sóphronismos. It says you are stable and on course for God’s favor and
blessings no matter what life presents you. A sound mind speaks of:
A. A person with self-control – the world or its systems do not control you.
You are led by the Spirit of God.
B. One who is disciplined to the things of God and is in control of their
mind and will.
C. Someone that is sensible and prudent with their life and lifestyle. Your
behavior reflects the Kingdom of God.
D. A person who governs their life with sound and biblical principles. You
stay on course and do not veer away from the truth
